Our Epic Urban World Story

This month Urban World turns 17 years old! It has certainly been an amazing journey so far & most importantly we are still going strong. We have seen major growth in South African business & are proud to say we have been integral to the start & set up of many of those exciting ventures. 

We’d like to share a bit about our two fantastic directors & their experience in creating such a dynamic business.

Felicity Park Ross has been involved in the furniture industry for over 30 years.
Her experience in space planning and office furniture supply began with Krost Brothers who designed & manufactured their own brand of furniture. She has been supplying corporate clients worldwide with locally manufactured &high quality imported products ever since.

Her strengths are listening, understanding & interpreting a client's design brief both aesthetically & financially ensuring that what they envisage for their offices meets or exceeds their expectations.

Theresa began her career in furniture by starting up the Cape Town branch of Tidy Files in 1992, building up the company over a 10-year period, after which the opportunity arose to move into Innovation's very creative environment.

She has the ability to visualise the finished project from the outset & will provide the visuals & costing to convey a creative solution within a very short space of time.  Her attention to detail in the design phase contributes to accurate cost estimates & the smooth running of projects.

Felicity & Theresa met while at Innovation - a company specialising in the supply of superior office furniture and modern classics. Together they worked on a joint project for an international oil company & this background proved to be good grounding to start up Urban World as an owner managed company in 2002.

Forward to today - Urban World offers cutting edge and bespoke office design & furniture. The services cover projects from the very start of the design process, to manufacture & sourcing and finally installation.

We have a wealth of satisfied clients and are really looking forward to many more years at the forefront of the industry.
